One of my all-time favorite cities, Nashville blends southern hospitality with super-cool vibes like no other place on earth. Their coffee scene is almost as plentiful as bars featuring live country music, and it rarely disappoints. This trip, I visited the raved-about Barista Parlor where the ambience is seriously rock and roll, and the coffee is no joke.
At their original East Nashville location (transformed from an old transmission shop) with my laptop in tow, this place might have topped my coffee-shop list the moment I walked in the door. Their innovative roasting and brewing methods guarantee each cup of joe you order will be perfection. Also on the menu are an endless table of American craft chocolates, southern bites (crumbly breakfast biscuits, anyone?) and handmade desserts from their very own bakery.
If none of this has grabbed you yet, the ambience will. Communal tables, abstract art, a record player and roasting coffee for all to see—you'll be sitting among a sea of creatives, sipping crafted coffee and wondering where all the inspiration has been hiding.
Grab your laptop and go to Nashville. Listen to good music and taste what coffee is supposed to taste like.
